I also don’t have a car but do have access to a car share scheme. Not sure I would rely on it in an emergency. I guess I am mildly reassured that every venue has a AED kit nowadays.
The only time I went in an ambulance was due to some teenage risk taking, however I can’t imagine a scenario where I would do something risky whilst trusting an emergency service to be there. Maybe mountain rescue, even then I wonder what percentage of people aren’t found.
I like the idea of changing these metaphors - maybe the safety net could be changed to the trampoline.
